Stephen has never understood why a genuinely organic mattress should be something only available to people prepared to spend thousands.

We spend around a third of our lives in bed, yet so many modern mattresses are manufactured using synthetic foams, polyester fibres, memory foams and other man-made fillings, with some also relying on chemical treatments to meet fire regulations.

Stephen wanted to offer families an alternative.

That philosophy led to the organic mattress collections we manufacture today.

Depending on the individual mattress, our collections use materials including GOTS-certified organic wool, organic Egyptian cotton, organic hemp, natural coco coir, cashmere and silk.

These natural fillings are combined with carefully selected pocket spring systems to create mattresses that provide both comfort and support while allowing the mattress to breathe naturally.

Our approach is deliberately different from the modern trend towards filling mattresses with layers of synthetic foam.

Stephen believes that when nature already provides us with exceptional materials such as wool, cotton and hemp, there should be an affordable way for people to sleep on them.
